Default need help selecting a radio

Hi. I recently purchased a Traxxas Nitro Rustler. Of course, the radio is very basic, and so am I! The buggy is fast, and the steering is very sensitive, I can't control the rustler very well.

I am assuming that I need a radio w/ exponential (ARC), and end point adjustments. Will these help?
I have looked at some $59 to $100 radios that have these features.

Also, whats better for nitro, 27 Mhz, or 75 Mhz?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Mike

go spektrum, nomadio or another... well... expensive one. you'll never have to upgrade again, because its a great setup.

also pick up a hitech hi torque servo for more control. does wonders.

Just my .02

27 is a waste b/c there are only 6 channles and there is a 1 in 5 chance of having some one else with the same as yours.

75 is the way to go b/c there is a 1 in 30 chance of having a similar channel and you can get a excellent radio for around $100 or less if you shop around.

Spektrum is newer technology, you will never have to worry about channles but it is very expensive and un necessary.

So many people are buying Spektrum that it is leaving more of the FM channels free and increasing your odds that you will not have the same frequency as someone else.

My vote is for a good 75 for around $100

For your price go with a MX-3 by airtronics, it has what you will need. If you are planning on upgrading from the rustler to a higher end model that you plan on racing go to a high end radio. M11, Helios, 3pk etc. Buying the radio now will set you back but it's money you won't have to spend when you upgrade your model later. If all you're ever going to run is the rustler then the MX3 will be fine.

Get the Spektrum 3.0, its the best bang for the buck. I use a Futaba 3PK with the FAAST system.
