Can you use a charger for electric batteries to charge Nitro Receiver Batterys? Adn should you discharge them?

IF you are charging a 6 cell batt just charge it at 1-2 amps and make sure your charger is set to 6 cells.

For RX batts the lower the amp the better for runtime. You could go 1 amp but it's not great. Try 0.3 or 0.4 amps (even 0.2 if you've got the time). I know it sounds low and it will take a while (for example, 0.3 amps will charge 300 mah every hour) but you'll get amazing runtime out of your RX pack. Remember, they're completely different from cells used in electric cars. Discharge at 1 amp.

Yeah, I've never charged my RX packs over .5 amps. Even that takes over an hour. They'll last a long time in the long run. And almost twice as long as my radio batts while in the RC.

I discharge mine at 1 amp. Not sure if this is normal, but it's worked well for me. It's what I was told by a trusted friend at the LHS. I've had three 5 cell RX packs for over a year now, with no signs of problems.

They're not completely different cells used in electric cars. Just a different size and different demand. The speed that you charge or discharge them determines the life of them.

Slower is always better.
