Default Electric Cars

How long can electric cars run for (i don't mean the battery) i mean how long till it will overheat? Everytime I battery goes flat, can you put another one in and keep going? Or can the only run for 5 minutes, let cool, run for another 5 minutes

It all depends on the motor your using. A hot mod will only be good for around 6 minutes and then need a good 15 to cool off. A well geared milder motor can go for 5 minutes and then come off for 5. A brushed motor normaly shouldn't be driven for over 5 minutes. Now, a brushless setup can go all day if it is properly being cooled. If you want a setup that you can go all day with I would look in to a brushless system and a123 batteries w/ the sonic charger.

I ran 20 minutes straight in practice with a GTB and 13.5 motor. I temped the motor when I was done and it was only 90 degree's.

Can you race with brushless motors pack after pack or do you have to let them cool down aswell?

Cheers

You can run them pretty much forever if they're geared properly...pack after pack, hour after hour.
