Hot Bodies Lightning 10 stadium questions
I'm wanting to get my step sons into rc(11 and 14)...Been looking at these trucks and thought it's be cool to get 3 of them so we could race each other and I figured being 4wd they would be easier to drive than say a Gt or NT and I'm kinda afraid to turn them loose with a 1/8 scale buggy.Considered the new Crt .5 but getting 3 of those up and running would be a bit too pricey for my pocket
How good are these trucks?
What's the difference between the sport and non sport versions?
What aftermarket bodies will fit them?
Thanks
Steve

To be honest, 1/10th scale 2wd is realy the best way to get in to r/c. You can set up those trucks so that they will have gobs of rear traction if you are worried about them being able to control them. 1/10th scale 2wd is just a much more precise class which means that it will teach them throtle control. Not to mention there is tons of support for the well known gt2 or the xxx-nt. A simple way to put it, while they are learning to drive you can set up those trucks to be very forgiving and require a heavey finger to be fast, however once they get a hang of that you can set them up to be more agresive and require a softer finger. Just be sure you have a good air compressor and a good means to clean the trucks up, they are normaly a little harder to break down then 1/8th scale buggies for cleaning.

Thx for the reply Party.Heck I started out with a B4 and a T4 and I still have trouble driving a 2wd nitro truck...lol I have considered going with a GT,ALOT of them around and tons of aftermarket parts available for them.I know it sure won't be a NT...seems like they have alot of diff probs. One big reason I am lookin at the Lightning is I get get them NIB for under $200
