Default Hitec HS5955

I have been haring this servo is comparable now in performance to Futaba and Airtronics servos.

Over the past 6 years of racing, I have known it as taboo to go near Hitec servos since the do not center.

Are the new titanium versions really that much better now?

Trying to decide whether to run a HS5955, S9351, or 94361 in by buggy and truggy steering.

I use the 5955 as my steering servo in my 8ight T... It works great and had no issues with centering itself... I like you, have always been afraid to go near Hitec servo's... This is my first, but so far, I am very satisfied...

I only had centering issues on the cheaper models, not the 925MG and up. Good thing is Hitec really gets on the ball with supporting there products if you have issues.

I have had a couple high end Hitecs for several years and they have been great for me. A 925 and a couple 945s.....

I also have an old 525 that works very well. The 625 is the only one I ever ran that I didn't like... it was slowwww...

I've been running the 5955TG for steering in my buggy for over a year now with no problems. I'm very happy with it. And on my other Hitec servos I've had to send in for warranty work they've always been great about it. Great customer service IMO.

I've been using two of these in my 8IGHT, (5995TG) and both have performed flawlessly! Basically the same servo as the 5955. They retail for the same price as the 5955, but if you shop around (Web) you can get them for $89.99 each. Theres a lot of racers at my local track using them and all have had great luck with them. Just make sure you set EPA right, otherwise, they will rip your carb. or S.S. off....
