Default Which is Better?

Is a traditional clutch system with mechanical brakes and servo better than the direct drive type setup?

Is that rear brace from the vorza? I thought the vorza one is a little shorter? Just wondering because I like the wire clips built in the brace.

I have tried both ways and prefer direct drive to the clutch, why complicate something so simple that works so well! But there are those that like the clutch better so I would mark that one up to personal preference.

I cut the wire guides off of a Vorza brace and CA glued it to the D8 brace

Default D8-E set up

This is the most generic thread I know of to ask this question. I have searched it as well but when you put D8 in the search engine comes back and says "too small of a word" or something like that. Could you guys running the D8-E's post your complete chassis set up? I run on med sized outdoor tracks with pretty good sized jumps with some rythem sections here and there. I just need a good starting point. Thanks!

My D8t needed one step stiffer front springs (blue)and two steps stiffer rear (orange?) I might even go stiffer.

1.2x8 Kyosho Mp9 tapered angle drilled pistons are nice.

5/5/3 diffs for buggy. 7/7/3 for truggy.

The rest is close to stock but a like to set my rear camber link shorter and lower than stock, and the front camber link up higher for more steering response.

Kyosho 2.4 front sway bar.

If you write down the setting each pro uses on the setups from the HB website, you can see a pattern that should limit your suspension geometry choices. Only half of the D8's settings are useful on most tracks. So that should narrow it down for you.

MBX6T owners: Are you guys using the nitro set-ups on your e-truggies with some small changes? If so, what changes did you make? Or is there an electric-specific set-up I can use for my baseline? I need something that will work on a large, loose, dry track like Rev RC raceway.

I guess it's what you prefer. But a clutch system is easier on the electronics and you drive train. I'm running traktion drive from Tekno now and I love it. It gives you a clutch feeling without lag and you don't need mech brakes. And it's still protects you drivetrain too.

Been running direct drive for 3 years. My first MBX6 is almost 2 years old now & I've had no drive train problems. I run every week.
