Default Engine problem - pls help

I have this weird problem with my mp 7.5.

My engine idles extremely high (it'll roll on it's own), but if I turn down the idle - the engine dies....I tried to tweak the lsn but it doesn't help - or least I can't make my car too rich or else it'll start spitting out oil.

Anyone had similar problems before? One friend said it might be my clutch engaging too soon?? Perhaps that the clutch springs are loose?? that may be the case...but what's perplexing to me is that I didn't touch clutch prior to this problem - this just happened one day all of a sudden after I changed out a broken throttle linkage rod and readjusted my breaks.

Any tips?

G

I would readjust your linkages first, then set the needles, and if that doesnt fix it, srart looking for the possiblity of an air leak. I doubt that clutch is causing this problem, though it might be worn from use. I would squirt a little wd 40 around all the possible leake points on your motor and if the motor changes when you hit it with spray, you found the source of the leak.

Yea thx..I found a whole bunch of holes on that little blue rubber shoe around the throttle rod...(pardon my terms)....

It seems that my throttle return spring is constantly rubbing against it....so there's my problem.

I've got one more now, in attempting to disassemble my clutch assembly, I could get the stupid fly wheel off!! WTF it's like stuck...what am I to do? I did unscrew the all the nuts and screws...
