Default Best first nitro truck?

Ok I decided to give Nitro a go. Whats the best bang for your buck beginner truck to go with? The closer to RTR it is the better.

Was considering getting this off someone for $125. He said it just needs a Spur Gear.

Said only a gallon of fuel has been run through it. Since this is discontinued how hard will parts be to get for it now or later?

I got a losi xxx nt for my first and it has been great thus far!!! you cant to wrong with LOSI or AE really!!
I believe that the GT and GT2 parts collaberate easily!
but parts are available for either one!!!
at 125 dollars you can afford more fuel a newer engine for backup and a spur gear!!
I would go for it!!! Although he could have cleaned it up better before he made the offer!!
Give you a little something to think about!!!

yeah it seems like a good deal. It will cost more then double that to buy new and get what little extras that are included.

That is a great deal for a RC10GT. Parts are still everywhere for them and aftermarket parts are also everywhere

Cheers

There are a good amount of differences between the GT versus the GT2. I would say decide if you want a vehicle that is current or one that is older tech. If you think you want something current (mainly for racing really), go ahead and pickup the RTR version of the GT2. Not too many significant differences between the two compared to losi's RTR versus there race truck.

Also, when buying used nitro, always keep in mind that the engine could be a possible throw away. Thats how I approach it. The nice thing is you can find replacement engines for 1/10 scale nitro trucks for reasonable prices, even from online shops too.

I would say look online like ebay and see how much just the rollers are going for and make a decision from that. Usually you can find GT rollers with alot of hopups or factory team versions for pretty great prices too. Then you can get good electronics and know if what he is selling is worth it as the electronics look like the RTR affair which aren't really pricey at all used.

But $125 isn't bad for a gas truck setup, and who knows, you could always talk him down alittle too.
