19t racing

Hey guys and gals

I thought I would start a thread about 19T racing as I didn't see one floating around and lets face it those mod boys get all the limelight anyway....

I have a few questions to start off, what type of motors are yall using???

and for a 4wd buggy what ratio is a good starting point??

the the games begin

We are looking to have a 19 turn class at the track I will be running at for 4wd buggy.

I found the Reedy Quad Mag to be a really great 19 turn motor and I have heard great things also about the Checkpoint money motor.

I use what the Late BIg Jim told me to gear initially for the end of the longest straight. Basically, top out there. I used that advise though if the straight was really long, I did gear alittle more conservatively. Always gave me a good starting point to work off of.

For 19T I would definitely go with a KWIK motor, there is usually picture ads on every page in RCTECH. The motors are quick and the readings on the dyno are incredible. They are hand wound and dyno'd. No break in required. I give the motors a 9.7 in performance!! Go KWIK!! Also check out Team Scream motors too, almost the same thing!!
