[QUOTE=Mr-s413bt]hrrrrm last comp spec traxxas i drove would have been a TRX-1 hahaha

new stuff... i wouldn't compare it to losi... designed from a different perspective....[/QUOTE}

Off Topic
TRX-1 haha. That brings back some memories. I remember being at a GA state race and the Traxxas rep was there letting people try the new car out before it was put on the shelves. Anyone remember the traxxas radicators?

Losi and traxxas... my two fav brands!

Losi electric for sure. I wouldnt even put the Bandit or the Rustler into the same category as XXX/T or B/T4. Bandits/Rusty simply not designed for racing - losi buggies and trucks are.

Nitro monster trucks... im a Revo fan. Love the LST2 as well, great trucks and would happily have one parked in my garage... but the Revo just as good, if not - better IMO.

LST2 and Revo drivers can bicker about the pros and cons until the cows come home - but the proof is in the pudding and from what ive seen, they win just as many races as each other!

Companies like Traxxas, Associated, and Losi haven't stayed alive for this long by making and selling poor products. You can't go wrong with any reputable brand name in this industry.

With that said (and here comes the sales pitch), there is a factory Losi driver and representative who reads and posts on RCTech very often, and even has his own thread (however worthless it might be, HAHA).

I make it a point to help anyone I can, but will be able to help you with specific setup and parts advice for any Losi vehicle you pick up. That may not be enough to completely change your decision, but maybe it's something to think about?

Which car won the last big race should be only a small deciding factor in what you buy. Any of the guys racing at that level would be competitive, regardless of what car they drove.

Yes, a good car helps on the race track. But driving is what wins local races. A good driver, with a bad car, is still probably going to finish well against drivers with less experience, and better equipment.

When you're looking for a car, consider these:

1) parts availability
2) product support (customer service, team driver advice, local hobby store experience)
3) value (notice that's not PRICE)

And THEN worry about which car won the last big race.

DR1919 - Ask LOWGEARED how nice it is to have readily available advice!

go losi because if you ever get into racing you'll have a respected car. im not saying traxxas dosen't win races. just like Aaron said it's mostly the driver that wins with it. but losi is a good race vehical and parts are easy to find.
