Default Motor questions

Hey guy's,

I have read and read and read thousands of post's and reviews. I am getting back into it and have decided 1/8 scale buggy will be my choice.

Wondering what you guy's think of this motor:
Novarossi RX21P5X 5 port
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/2939

Is there something better out there? My driving style fits a low to mid range power, however overrev power is nice to have.

I was thinking this motor paired with a JP2 or JP3 pipe would work good?

Anyone have another motor in mind in that price race (can go a bit higher if needed) that will run better?

Thanks
Dave

Yes, I was also thinking the 621T Radical engine or the Vspec. I am stuck between the three?

Everyone talks about the p5 engines and how fast/well they run and wasn't sure if this is the Rossi motor that everyone was talking about. They have several versions of the P5X motors out. The Rex, the Plus 21-5, etc.

Thanks
Dave

dave-depends on what you like. if you run electric and want a super smooth feel i would go with the ninja i have a buddy that has a stock ninja w/ jp-3 on it and its the smoothest 1/8th motor i have EVER driven but i would definitly suggest a jp-3 on the p5x

for a buggy the 621P will be good and it REALLY smooth the 621T is not as smooth
if you would like a radical you can go to headrushhobbies.com its not on the site but they do carry them just call them or e-mail them (call would be better) and just ask them about the radical
