1/10 4wd electric buggy class???
 

hey all;just woundering if the 1/10 4wd buggy class is getting popular again is it time that we had more than just mod. 4wd?it would be nice to have either factory and sportsman 4wd buggy mod or 4wd buggy mod for factory drivers and 4wd buggy 19t for sportsman drivers?finally does anyone give me a list of all the 1/10 4wd electric buggy full or conversion kits avalible?thanks for the info :spidey:

It all depends on your track and area. But in general i would say that it is making a comeback.

Actually around my local track there was never a 4WD mod class. Now there are usually 2 classes of 4WD. So yes it is starting to get popular. That is all I run now.

10 years ago I could only see 4wd at major races, and it was a bit of an oddity then.

Now its common at our track. I may pick up one soon

As for a spec/stock 4wd class....Ive always traditionally seen 4wd class as THE class for speed in electric offroad. You're a big daddy running 4wd. I just cant picture a stock 4wd. but it may help the popularity...

Since there is more 4wd buggies than 2wd buggies or trucks put together, 4wd class will finally get the attention it needs

We are planning on running 4wd 19 turn spec class at the track I will be going to.

Around the rest of the state when others race 4wd I believe its going to be primarily mod class.

When starting out in 4wd, I started with a Reedy 19turn quad mag motor. This unit actually did quite well against the common 12 - 14 turns being ran as the conditions were such that anything more powerful just really couldn't put the power down.

I have tried stock 4wd and was underwhelmed. Was just too slow.

I would say that for a spec class, the 19 turn motors make a great match to the 4wd platform.

There are alot of buggies out there now. Lots of choices which is nice. Good luck on whatever you decide to go with .
