Default What's faster, the OS .12 TG or OS .18 CV-RX?

Just got a 1/10 roller in a trade and narrowed engines down to the .12 TG and .18 CV-RX and wanted to know which would be faster, has good torque, etc.

Thanks!

Technically the .12 is faster but the .18 will suit you more.

The hp will be =. The .12 will rev higher and give you more top end speed, last longer, put less streign on your car, get better fuel milage, and give you enough torque to pop effortless wheelies and spin the tires.

want crazy power get the 12tz, if you want to break everything and go fast until somthing breaks, get the 18tz. anyway a good 12 motor is plenty for 1/10 we have a 12 cvr in a rc10gt EDM and its plenty

love my .12 cv-r. Plus it has 30% more power than the TG and 4000 more rpm's. Unfortunitly the price has gone up 60 buxs over the last week or so on tower. was 109 ,now its 160 ish.Dan

I used to love the CV-R as well until I got the TG. Yeah it has less raw power, but it is alot smoother and easier to drive aggressively. The TG didn't improve my lap times, but it made me relax alot more on the drivers stand because the power band is much more forgiving if you are a little too quick to the throttle. I got better mileage with the TG as well.

I thought the TG series replaced the CV series.

The .12 is less weight. THe .18 has more power, higher RPM.

I would go for the .12 TZ.
