help, track loves a pink bar. i'm tired of foams goin south and not being able to use acetone fumes to refoam the tires (very low wear on indoor clay).

i was told to try gold codes. their an okay tire to take away rear grip when track is tacky, but if 1st rd is late in the heat order, they are always loose and givin up rear grip to pink bars. help!

green?

Green would be significantly softer than Gold, but it is an outdoor compound and that typically doesnt transition well. You could attempt blue Bar Codes if you wanted something softer, but I cant guarantee anything.

Hey guys,

Just picked up on a J82 kit with an Ebay purchase, and I was thinking about running it at our track next week for fun. If I have been running a T4 that is hooked up pretty well on the track, what might I expect to need to change switching to the J82 kit?

Thanks

never understood what denoted a 'clay' compound. different type of rubber? construction? etc

i need somethin w/more grip for this surface which at present loves a pink bar. so if gold isnt it and the tire chart is saying green, not gold, for clay (right hand side). well lets say i'm lost

its on the car right now b/c the foams in my bar gave up. and they are not as good i cant get on the power and side to side its looser by a touch as well. i actually did go faster on them in the heats b/c i couldnt push (imagine that) but if i applied the same restaint in driving on the bar i would have gone quicker still. the other 9 cars in the Afinal were on bars for the rear.

ugh

I have found at Bumps that the drier it gets the better the Bar Codes in gold worked, at least for me. They worked better yet once I used BuggyGrip on them and kept in the plastic bag til the next weekend of racing as then they really worked for me.

I would like to see some ribbed front gold compound tires for the 2wd buggy for another choice to go with my Bar Codes. I will say the Bar Codes wear great!!!!!!!!!

The Gold bar codes are the same at lir. They work but not as good as a bk bar. I find the fronts to be pushy compared to a losi tire.

Does anyone know if the RC8 High Flow body will fit the RC8e? I'm mostly concerned with the batteries or speedo hitting the body.

The body should clear the speedo, but will hit the batteries (unless your setup is shorter than the double Reedy one).

I tried barcodes at CRCRC last week and they were dialed when it was wet. I think like quarter pin tapers would have been what I would have chosen if were to run losi tires. Brand new out of package they are awesome on wet clay. Ran them all day, I think they might have given up a little bit when it dried out but they were still pretty good.
