Yea I figured they would last longer than 1 week of racing and that I had done something wrong. I guess mainly I'm looking for what I could have done wrong. I'm pretty anal about my gear mesh so I don't think I got it too tight and no way was it too loose.

if you are spot on with your gear mesh, and are positive that the motor isn't moving, then you have a bend in something.

Check the motor plate, top shaft, and pop the motor out and put a pinion on it and give it some throttle (not a lot). Watch the pinion just to make sure there is no wobble. There shouldn't be, because if there was you would hear it and your motor performance would be poor. But check it anyway just to be thorough.

Well I took photos but mess up the transfer and most were deleted. So here is one. Upon further review only the outer edge got worn oddly...the side toward the motor mount looks like new. Also the teeth aren't worn down they are worn in from this edge shown.

The motor shaft spins true...no bend...the top shaft spins true, no bend...the motor mount looks straight to my eye but maybe it's tweaked?

Take the plate off completely and rest it on flat surface such as a countertop. Check for light gaps between the plate and countertop and any rocking of the plate.

Something is wrong, you can see slipper pad on one side and not on the other.

on a side note, ditch the cheap steel RRP pinions. Pay the extra money for RRP absolutes or another brand as long as they are hardened steel.

I've run the black anodized aluminum ones from RRP as well without issues. Indoor with minimal dust of course.

tear that thing apart and rebuild it. You have something assembled incorrectly.

No no that's the camera angle.

How do you assemble a slipper wrong? Seriously there is a plate on the inside, the slipper pad, the spur gear, another pad, the other plate. The top shaft aligns it all.

It functioned properly, actually I was more happy with the performance than I was with the Losi spur and pads. But the odd wear pattern concerned me.

Sometimes during assembly, if one doesn't pay attention, the disk can become dislodged a little bit and not sit where it is supposed to.

My Mono wheels for my TLR 22 have a bluish-gray tint to them. Anyone else have this problem?

I dyed the first set blue but on my next body I'm wanting to go with white as the main color but with the wheels wing so off-white it won't look good. Not sure if I just got a bad set or if they all have a off-white look to them...

The Mono wheels have a matte finish.

They are being repackaged now; hopefully the end of this month.
