Default associated crankshaft question??

Hello, I have 2 AE.12 motors that came out of a NTC3. I want to install them into my GT but the crankshaft is a lot different than on My .15 GT motor. It has the long shaft that takes the screw in the end. Even if I cut it off the lenght the diameter of the shaft threads is a lot larger than any of hardware that I have to install the clutch? Will the .15 crankshaft interchange with the .12? Or what do I need to do to make this work? Thanks for any help you can give me... Everyone have a wonderful day and take care.... Patrick

the original gt takes a crankshaft that has been cut shorter. The NTC3 uses a clutch nut that can be taken off of the crank to make it fit in the GT. You just need the GT clutch system.

The engine from your NTC3 is an SG crank. It will not work on a GT at all, so do not cut it. It will work on a GT2.

Thanks for the replys guys, I took my crank out of my .15 motor and compared it to the one from the .12, other than the threaded shaft end they are the same. I put the .15 crank into the .12 and it worked great. Ordered 2 of the .15 cranks today. Thanks for the input and everyone have a wonderful day... Patrick
