Thanks for the info Paul. You were very helpful at Nats and I appreciated the time you took to explain the car and where its headed. I have began a search for an affordable donor car.

I run a set up pretty similar to Pauls X6. The car can and will work well even on looser non-bluegroove track surfaces. I have even run the car on a loamy, rough 1/8 scale track, and it went through the bumps with ease.

I too have run Paul's setup for the past two race meets on a blown out 1/8 scale dusty track. The car feels awesome now! I am not one to go by lap times but rather how does it feel going around and I can honestly say the buggy feels very comfortable on my track now.

I know this is an "X - 6" X Factory thread, but since its going pretty strong and the X - 5 squared has already been brought up in this thread, I figured I'd post it here....

X Factory is proud to announce the X - 5 Squared, a great improvement and evolution of our highly-competitive 4wd car. You can read all about its features in our news story!

WOW, this one has set for awhile!
my oldest son and I have both upgraded to the X-6 chassis on our b4's. For him, the times are good but he isn't alot faster. ( he was quite fast allready)
For me however, I've gained nearly a lap back on the competition at our local track. I the heats the real fast guys were turning 12 laps in five minutes. I would turn 10-11. Last race, (my first race with the X-6) I turned 12 5:04, a second and a half behind my son and three and a half behind the winner.
Car is easier to drive and corners much faster than the old chassis. Glad I made the change. This might get me to run it indoors this year for the first time.

im very interested in running the x6 possibly in the future. but for the time being i will be running stock 2wd, will it make that much of a difference when racing with slower motors. i would assume that the affects of the mid engine design would be better suited for mod.

Ran my X6 for the first time this weekend and was very happy with how it performed for me after being out of offroad racing for 8 years. Very easy to drive consistantly even when the track was breaking down.

Pics of my X6. I really like running this car. Something a little different and it works well for me and will only get better once I get to run it a few more times. Been out of offroad racing for alot of years but it is coming back faster than I thought it would.
