Looking at the pictures on the X-6 homepage, there is no brace or connection between the top of the transmission and the rear shock tower. That would easily prevent the chassis from being able to flex so much in that spot. But it might just make it break farther in front of those other 2 transmission screws closer to the center of the chassis.

If it was me and knowing my poor driving skills, I would put a small brace in there.
Actually, the chassis doesn't flex much in that area. There are 4 screws that hold the tranny to the back of the chassis and then it connects again via the motor mount, which is attached to the tranny, just behind the battery slots.

We have a triple section that I get a good run on with my 10 turn and have landed awkwardly several times. I have never managed to pull that one off.

I think the chassis is tough and wouldn't hesitate to purchase an X6 if you are interested in it. With the guys I race with, I am clearly faster in turns. I love driving this buggy.

The tranny case acts as the brace. If you notice in the pictures, the white tranny case was a prototype, not made from the preferred materials. It cracked, therefore not giving the chassis the proper support.

But then you haven't seen the quad at the Cactus. I think it could break anything in half!

The quad is now gone. No more massiv breakage for a while (hopefully)

James, I have the car also, and I prefer the Losi shocks. Probably because I have most always ran Losi cars, and I am more familiar with them over the AE shocks.
