Default Opinion...project or scrap? (Kyosho Stinger)

Hey all, been a little while since I was into RC, and happened across my old Kyosho Stinger MKII the other day. I'm torn, think it would be a worthwhile investment of time and coin to get this thing going again? Ive never actually run it, and I'm figuring it will cost me a couple of hundred bucks to get er going - but might be fun.

Anyone out there ever have one of these? worth playing with? I know this is about as open ended question as it gets, but I'm really torn. A new project vehicle is just what my marriage doesn't need, but getting a vintage like this going really makes me think I would have some fun (USA-1 would be my dream project, but not just yet)

I only wonder if this vehicle was ever any good and if working at a rebuild at this late stage in its life is worth. Opinion are what I am after so telling me I'm an idiot not to (or vice versa) is just fine...let er go!!!!!

Thanks in advance,

Parts will be hard if not impossible to come across.

Check out the used prices on eBay, it may be worth more to a collector than it is to you.
