Default me4bc

I have a brand new in the box mr4bc special for sale, i bought 2 but i don't need the other one. I just built the car, it is tight. Real simple design that will give losi a run for it's money. To answer the post from up no it does not have a slipper. I have extra parts for the kit also for sale.

I take it this thread is for all things Yokomo?

I'm in the process of buying 2 old Yokomo YZ10 '93s and will run one as a classic and one will be a spares car. Only going to run indoors too so less chance of big damage.

I'm doing this because it was the first "proper" racer I had and I think its a great car.

I don't know why but theres just someting about off-road Yoks.

P.S. - Slammer, tell me your in the UK and your BC S is still for sale?

Edd.

Default SD buggy ?not likely.....

Salutations Earthlings!
i really don't think so, Masami tried a SD buggy but could not make it work properly.and he used a belted buggy instead...probably a modified MX4 or MR4BC.
where did you get this news?
it'll be nice if you share this cos i've been wondering too, if there is one in the making, i'll definately prefer to wait for it.

The newer car is the MR-4BC. They're similar in basic design, but the BC Special has more adjustments available than the MX-4 used to. The BC's only problem is a short wheelbase compared to the other buggies. It's been good enough to win japanese nationals though. Masami keeps experimenting with prototype mid-motor MX-4's, rather than using the BC like the other Yokomo drivers.

The do make a kit to make the wheel base longer to match the MX-4 that what he had on to win with.

The LWB BC is 266mm, the MX-4 is 274 - I think I've seen the LWB conversion on an MX4 as well, making it 280.

The BC wheelbase is always shorter than the MX4 because it's running a touring car chassis.

so the mid chassis conversion shown on the previous page on the thread would fit the MX4?

If so were can I get one?

I just got an MX4 off of ebay and looking to see what I can do to make it competitive at the local and state level events -- as well as deciding if I want to be different and not run a Losi at a big event later this fall.

Yokomo make a conversion kit for the BC to make it that same wheel base at the MX-4. It a new nose plate and shock tower, shock tower look that same as the MX-4 that what won the race with.

Yokomo had all the big deal with him winning with the new concersion kit. "Just add this you get the same wheel base as MX-4"

Sorry, I think you're wrong.

YMP have made a kit to put an MX-4 front shock tower on a BC, but it doesn't have any parts in it to change the wheelbase. The mod is probably because the BC tower is weak. The BC driveshafts are already swept forward at the front, so you couldn't really move the wishbones forward significantly (i.e. the 8-14mm you would need to get an MX-4 wheelbase).

The BC longwheelbase kit is at the rear only, it's new wishbone mounts which pull the wishbones back 6mm, the tell-tale is a blue alloy arm mount at the rear of the car.

Like I said, a LWB BC is 266, an MX-4 is 274. If Yokomo have been pushing the front wishbones forward, they've been concealing it pretty well, because all the team drivers cars I've seen look standard at the front end, as is the new BC Special kit. Pushing the wishbones forward that much would mess up the steering geometry as well.
