Default Team Brood Cut armatures?

do the Team Brood cut armatures make any more power than a normal armature? i was looking into a checkpoint 11X1 cut armature from team brood and was wondering if it would add life and power? gain in torque, speed, smoothness, life?

from what knowledge I have, reducing the overall mass of the armature web doesn't really make more power. I think in big jims black book, he writes about less material can cause power loss or something along those lines.

It will have less torque, more acceleration and more RPM's.

our center cut armatures produce tons of rpm.. wouldnt recommend for someone who doesnt know much about gearing .. this is because if you gear wrong one time you will most likely blow it up on the first run.. very tempermental yet very powerful....

i would say get it in the turn that you normally run and start off with a pinion 2-3 teeth smaller than you would normally run and go from there...hope this helps ya..

well right now i have a 17 turn and it doesnt get hot at all. and i raelly want somethign faster and mroe torque. so i was thinking 5 turns less, single wind, and center cut armature. if i started on stock spur with like 22 pinion instead of 26, would it be ok? what final drive do you recomend in a 4wd buggy?
