so what you're saying is that if i dont just pin it, it should hold up?? and if i did go for the ball differential, and alluminum gears, it shouldhold up better?

ill try to get some pics up, but my camera is stubborn...

one thing that bothers me, is that if you buy a car for $200, and $300 worth of hopups, then you can only sell it for $350...

why do you want to sell it. and it will hold up fine if you pin it. but you need to make sure your slipper isnt very tight. if its to tight it will yankl the gearbox off your truck and put it in a blender

and yes an aluminum idler gear will help it hold up and ball diff will take a little tension off of it because it will be able to slip if it needs too. but it will still be tight and grab hard.

to fit a mf2 tranny to your truck, plus brushless system, and at least 4200's battery you could buy the losi rtr that comes with burshless stock set-up and then you could buy the faster motor and use the esc that came with the truck, plus you have a truck designed for racing and its resale will be better but even complete you will maybe get 150 to 180 on ebay for it. for your truck even with hop ups you may get a 100 but not much more. with out hop ups you might get 50 for a rustler. i know its a bummer hearing all this but unfortunately thats where your at with your truck. an mf2 tranny will cost you 120 plus in parts to have a complete one. plus a brushless novak system is gonna be 280 at a track shop but i have seen them for 330 in hobby bench's. a good race pack 4200 from like orion is 70 bucks, and if you have the type of charger i am afraid you have with your truck now, it will over time hurt a good quaility pack, so your looking at another 90 bucks at least and if you go with one that needs a power supply well for all that you could get a kit truck use your existing radio gear if you want, then get brushless and the battery/charger for the same cost.

as i said you can get a regular bruashed mod motor but not less than a 13 turn and for that you will need a different esc than what you have now. with that you wont need to worry as much about your tranny and you will get more speed and it won't cost you as much.

There ok !!! But the Traxxas big bores are great!!!! Why are your shocks piggybacks or standard!!! The standard traxxas shocks work exceptionally well....That is just another milestone you will have to get to!!! How old is your Rusty?

i havent run the piggy style shocks before. and the big bores are for the t/e-maxx trucks, not the rusty and pede. but yes with an aluminum idler, the tranny should hold fine. the diff gear is amazingly tough, and its proven that it will hold up to the mamba. so yes an alumium idler and a loose clutch and your fine.

they fit the rear only. they are extra long big bore shocks built for heavy monster trucks. you could put a set on the back, but it probly wouldnt be as good as stock. i use the suspension that comes on the duratrax evaders on my race truck and love them. they work great. i use integy piggy style shocks on my revo too. love them on it. very smooth. not sure bout the rustys though

Ya thats what it was the rear!!!! Man theres gonna be so much snow tonight . Might not be a good Idea to take anything out tommorow!

I know Vato uses piggyback integys and he hasnt had big problems with his... I just rather stay with the single reservoir shocks myself!
