Default electric motor help. please respond.

ok so i know that if a motor has lower turns it has more rpms. but what is the difference between a single and double wind? ive heard that a double wind gives more torque. but ive also read that a signle wind offers more torque.... which one of these is true? and im looking for a good 10 turn motor for under $50. what should i get? i was looking at the orion SV2 BB. is it any good? and will it have torque?

single offers more tq in the beginning of the power band with less RPM at the end (V6 engine with turbo)

double offers higher RPM with less tq in the beginning of the power band. (v6 engine that screams high RPM )

so compared to a car. a single would be more like starting in first gear and only going through 5th in a drag while a double would be like starting in second gear and going through sixth? kind of or no? single is more torque. double is more speed. so i would want a single for low turn offroad right?

If you are running off road, stick with a double, these motors offer the best torque and rpm. Most people who run singles run on road. And the differences in torque and rpm between a single and double are really not that noticeable.

I run either a 9x2 or 11x2 Orion Revolution V2 Offroad motor in my 4wd buggy. The Checkpoint is supposed to be teh cats meow.
