You should include the topic of your thread in the title. Instead of "how good is..." try "Evader BX opinions?"

You will get more answers.

I have one. Did you get the normal one or the Pro one? Only thing that I have changed on it is the motor. Wasn't a great fan of it. I just put in a Venom 21t x 2. They are very strong. Did you buy it new? Duratrax offers a free replacement parts on some parts if they break

Cheers

it will be a good starter car. and if its set-up right they ok in a novice class. i don't know if duratraxx makes graphite a-arms and such for them. they are a must have for racing and strong then the plastic. unless they changed something recently the losi xxxbk and bk2 arms will fit. good luck with it.

it depends how you drive. couple weeks a go a durtraxx truck beat everyone in the truck class (racing carpet with a few jumps).i think duratraxx makes graphite. if you can find some parts that are graphite, change them to your car. trust me, big help.

I have seen them race and they can be capable at the club level if your skills are up to it. Are they a full blown race level vehicle, no, but that doesn't mean you can succeed with it. Don't let anyone tell you that you must have a T4 or a MF2 to race. Those opinions are the ones that help drive people away from the hobby.

If the vehicle does what you need it to do, be happy with it.

If I was you, start with a full teardown of the vehicle and see what is worn on it and replace. If it looks like there will be too much cost wise to replace, use it as a spare parts car and buy another new one. New ones get that nice warranty on them.

From what I have heard, the graphite car feels more direct.

From what I've seen they are definitely one of the best values available. You get a solid buggy with plenty of parts support for the money. I'm going to get my nephew one. I wish it came in kit form...or maybe it does.

If it is the Pro version it will have graphite printed on some of the parts. Duratrax also make aluminum upgrades for the buggy. Do you get a manual with yours? If not you can download it here - http://manuals.hobbico.com/dtx/dtxc0022-manual.pdf
Standard a-arm - http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCXT0&P=Z
Graphite a-arm - http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...62&FVPROFIL=++
One of the best things about Duratrax is their price.

I have heard that Duratrax bought the molds off Losi for this car, and it is almost identical to the old XX buggy and XXT. Almost all the parts from those cars supposedly work on the Duratrax. If true it would be another source of parts, and more tuning options. Any aftermarket parts for those cars would work on yours.

Saw a local kid with one at the track, and it was almost 99% identical to my old Losi XXcr buggy....so yeah its a good car i used to love my old XXcr and it was competitive, so yeah its probably a good car.

just get it to the track and get some laps in, thats the important part
