Power Supply?

I am just getting set up in electric racing. I have a few cheaper chargers but have just decided to step up and buy 2 new ICE chargers. Now I need to figure out what I need to get for a power supply. i would like to have something that will run multiple chargers. Any sugestions are greatly appreciated.

you need a powersupply that pushes at least 14A constant. The SHE is good, and a good price. If you want the big dog, the Rivergate(?)bulldog 30A is supposed to be killer, but it also costs over $200. There are quite a few power supplies in the BST forum here. I would recommend a distribution box, cuts down on connections to the PS, and you can switch different leads off.

I use this power supply and can run 3) LRP Pulsars charging at 5 amps each with no problems!

This one has been posted a bajillion times on here. So I'll post it again.

Pyramid 20A Power Supply

p.s. I once used it with two chargers at the same time with no problems. I've had mine a few years and I'm happy with it because it was cheap!

Yep, that one will work also!

Thats a better deal than what I listed! Roughly 20 dollars less and 5 more amps!!

If you're handy with electronics, you can modify a Computer power supply. 450W would give you around 20A @12V and they are regulated. Would cost all of about $30 or so?

It is best to total up your load in watts and then purchase a ps that is somewhat bigger than the most power you will ever pull.

The absolute max of an ice is 120 watts and with impulse charge is 180 watts

2 of them together at max can probably get away with 250 watts without impulse engaged and with impulse charge engaged you will need about 300 as long as the 2 impulses are not timed together (or lined up)

If you happen to be doing mini batts or radio batts or other small jobs then 100 watts can run a half dozen chargers.

Thanks for all the help guys, I ended up with a 30 amp Bull Dog off the for sale forums right here. ;)
