As in speed? Handling? What exactually?
Speed - With Lipo and brushless could keep up wiht 1/8 buggy
Handling - A 1/8 buggy will handle rough terrain alot better

Cheers

You can't compare them because they are different sized vehicles with hugely different sized tires. 1/10 electric buggies will need relatively groomed tracks and 1/8 nitro buggies will run much rougher surfaces. It's best to find out what most people run at the local track closest to you.

First you have to compare 4WD to 4WD. An electric 4WD like the XX-4 can turn faster laps than a 1/8th, on a smooth track. If the track is really blown out, no electric will deal well with a bad surface.

Well what in refernce too, speed handling etc. 1/8 scale is more durable than electric.

if you can find a smooth line and have a brushless motor, you will run faster then 1/8. i do and everyone is amazed at my track cause no one else has ever run a 4wd electric there. if its a rough track thoug hand you cant get a smooth line, the 1/8 will do better. it just has more suspension to it and bigger tires.

Electric used to be the way to go. 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive classes dominated for the majority of my racing career. but about 2 years ago, we all started switching to 1/8th scale buggy mainly because 4 wheel drive electric was dying out.

People complained that 4 wheel drive electric was too expensive, because thease cars were faster, but broke easier. So instead we just upgraded to 1/8th scale buggy, because they can pretty much take anything you throw at it!
Electric doesn't even come close to 1/8 gas at our track, with the explosion of 1/8th scale buggies, even losi and associated are diverting alot of resources to the new top dogs in RC "1/8th Gas!" I have yet to break a part on one of my 1/8th scales. that's 2 years running! I've replaced worn out parts, but that's it!

not sure bout rtr electric buggies.... trust me i jump my DI as far and high as all the 1/8 at my track. it can take a hit for sure. not quite as durable though. handles as good, just as fast, but not on the rough. rough spots kill electric 4wd.

my point proven...... as for acceleration... both are lightning fast. if you have traction, you will get there in a second.
