Looks like we have a solution to the scoops hitting the battery brace problem. Also what front tires are on the car in that picture? Something else new from the boys over at J Concepts?

Yes i agree looks like we wont be having problems with the scoops and the battery holders.

Ok guys,,,,,

I got my car running, D4 of course running a GTB novak 5.5 motor and 5500mah lipo maxamp batterys. Im using a 16t pinion with stock spur.

Now is it just me or is there a problem with my car. I personally dont think these things run hard at all.

My 9t Team Orion brushed motor using intellects 4200mah and Nosram patriot would of easily kept up with this.

Yes it does have smoother power but i didnt see what the big excitement is with brushless.

Mind you it was the batterys first charge.

Any thought guys or is this the way it is?

You need to gear that baby up! With a 5.5 you need to be up around a 19 or 20 with the stock spur. I was having serious heat issues with mine, and going off the old rule of thumb, I kept gearing down.... but it was making the heat worse and slowing the car down. I finally went up and the car started to rip even more and no more heat problems.

Good eye guys!

We actually gave extra room for LiPos in the rear. We also made room in the front for BL speedos with fans

The tires are indeed the new Bar Codes

I've been lucky enough to get to test the sample saddle lipo from SMC. I think everyone is going to be very happy with the fit. The pack is a 4900 hard case. It fits with about 4mm clearence from the topdeck. Has plenty of room front to back on the battery mount post. It's wired just like their brick packs. Its going to be the real deal.

Are you talking about the front tires? Because those fronts look nothing like the Bar Code rears. I was hoping that J Concepts was gonna make Bar Code fronts that have the same tread pattern as the rear. What they need to do is make rears that have the same tread pattern as those fronts to use on "taper pin tracks" I thought the only reason everyone runs the BK Bar rear Taper Pin front combo was because losi didn't make BK Bar fronts. I thought J Concepts was an "outside the box" company? Now, if they did testing and found that front tires with a "Bar Code" pattern just didn't work and the "tapered pin" design did, then I retract my previous statment.

I don't if someone already give a PDF or a link to a editable setup sheet for this car but here you will find one, with some addional setups.

Hope that can help some of you!

I like the new JConcepts body but it doesn't include an undertray.

Here are some pictures of the mount system I setup for the SMC pack in my car. It will give you an idea oh the size. Its close to what Billy did with his Tracpower 3200.
