Cool Kyosho ZX5 RTR. Great News for 4WD

4wd Buggies seem to be making a boom with more and more 4wd buggies coming out Kyosho is about to bring out a 4WD buggy RTR based on their ZX-5 Kit. Be great for this class.
Aparantly being such a new kit, full specs aren't out yet but it has Plastic shocks to make the price cheaper and all ZX-5 aftermarket parts (carbon fibre etc.) will fit so you can upgrade as you go

Cheers

Unsure yet if this will be the painted body or not but this is how it was displayed at the Toy Fair

Here is a shot of the chassis. Unsure yet what turn motor or what radio but more than likely will be the Kyosho Perfex Radio

There's already at least one thread about this car...

Use the "Search" function of RCTech.

There aren't any threads about the RTR.

It will be intesting to see how this buggy fares. I don't know how well it will work as a bridge into 4wd racing since most 4wd is run with mod motors, so many upgrades will be needed to make the buggy competitive at all. The big issue I'm sure though will be durability. Either way if it can increase the popularity of 4wd its good! It would be nice if it included an ESC that could handle a 12t motor, but I highly doubt that will happen. Still the buggy it self doesn't look much different than the kit version, which is good.

I really don't think too many upgrades will need needed on the buggy to start off 4wd racing even if you do mod. Mainly durability enhancements if needed and the oneway setup if it works on the track.

Hopefully MRC will think about making an RTR version of the SB V2. Would be nice to see that start to become common place for 4wd electric. It would be really cool if Losi also did a brushless RTR XXX-4 or XX4.

Gimme some of that stuff you smokin, it must be good stuff.
Kyosho RTR's are more prone to breaking because they use either the 7.5 chassis as a base and/or they use crappy materials.

Edit: Why the hell did I write this?

I was talking abou 1/10 electric vehicles. As that is what the ZX-5 RTR is.

XXX-4 Brushless RTR would be cool but highly doubt it will come out. They don't even have a XXX RTR
