I went to 76, so I could get a bigger pinion in there...LOL

I'm at the end of the slot right now, so I may open the slots and go bigger.

From what I've seen with the novak is that you can gear it higher until you don't have enough torque to do what you need to do on the racetrack. On the MF1 I've seen 21 and 22 tooth pinions with I believe an 86 spur.

ill prob just trust trashed, he has never steered me wrong before, 81/24 in the buggy.....and 87/22 in the truck....both with 13.5ss pro

god the b4 looks sexy with the fan mounted about at a 45-deg angle on the esc lol too bad the truck kinda looks plan, and i had to mount the cap on the wrong side to get it to fit, or i would "lay" the fan down in the truck too.

I'm running 81/29 on my B4 and it barely gets warm. I started with a 26, but it was pathetically slow, so I jumped 3 teeth. I definitely woke the motor up, and it actually felt like it gained punch, when in reality, I was able to use more of the powerband b/c it wasn't topping out immediately.

78/30 in a b4. On a hot summer day the motor will come off after twenty minutes at 150 F. No fan on speedo, 110 F.

I am running 88/28 w/ a 13mm rotor in my MF2 and it does not get that warm either. I already slotted the motor plate to use the bigger pinion. That gearing is on recommendation from the sheet that came with the rotor. Ends up being a 6.5FDR.
