I think every setup I've seen has axles up. Not to say there aren't applications for them down, but up seems to be the prevailing setup.

Cool! I've got the axles up as well.

Thanks for the clarification!

What size batterys do you guys run with 17.5 brushless and 8.5 brushless?

Also look for good servo recommendations

I thought I could share with you some pics of my SP2.
Fantastic paint job by Squarehead Design.

I have a RB5 SP2 and broke the steering rack. However, I lost the washers and screws that attach to the servo saver. Is there anything I can do for the time being to make a temp fix?

If i may step in there... This setting is ALL about roll centre. To put it simply axle low gives a lower roll centre and thus more front end grip all round. We use this position a lot on the Mid Custom Special. As long as you add 1.5mm of spacers on the steering turnbuckle you'll not change the bump steer.

Hi everyone.
I'm trying to increase rear anti squat on my SP but I realise that the front pin mount can't raise because of the rear bulkhead clearance. The interesting thing is, why is there an identical rear plastic shim between the rear pin mount and motor cover if not to give adjustment to lower the rear mount and in turn give me more anti squat?
Thanks

tonyd 10-24-2010 11:51 AM

Take the rear shim out from under the rear mount and you will have 2 degree of anti squat. The rear t-plate has 2 degrees of anti squat built in. Make sure that there isn't a shim under the front mount. If you want more you can put a thin shim under the front mount. It fits which will give you 3 degree anti squat.

Anyone run the blue front aluminum axle shaft, part# KYOUMW507....

Thoughts?

Konich 10-25-2010 04:33 PM

I ran them and didn't like them too much, they seem to take away too much steering so I went back to using the stock axles up front.
