It definately bears more than a passing resembalance to the BJ4, but it does have one important advantage over the BJ4. It should be much cheaper! Looks like there is lots of plastic on this buggy, which is fine with me! Lots of the components are carbon though, so it should be quite strong. It will be interesting to see the details on it. I would suspect Pro4 drive train, modified length HPI shocks (which are super nice), B4 spur? Anyhow looks like a pretty user friendly buggy that should have good balance.

Another shameless knockoff of an American design.

This is the HB car that won the world's warm-up in Japan right? Looks like a BJ4 with the front shocks in front of the shock tower like the Yoke, but then again if you were gonna make a shaft car, this is a good, proven layout to follow.

The black bits you'd expect to be alloy - are alloy, just black anodised.

Why is everything placed so far back? Wouldn't it help steering for it to be placed up front?

Because thats how Jconcepts designed the layout, it was just carried over when HPI copied the BJ4 and made thier D4.

HPI should have just had Jconcepts make them some BJ's with purple anodizing and then just slap some HPI labels on the box. Would have been simpler.

Oh well, hopefully it will get more people into electric off-road.

The goal of any new car is to get more people in it.

After the ZX-5 came out the class grew from only ran at large events to multiple heats every week at the local track.

Maybe this will help even more.

Nice looking car....
Maybe [email protected] will have more news to post here..

Can't wait for it, the more the better - and from such a big company too.
