Electric or nitro?
For electric:
This is about 2wd vs. 2wd. http://rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=143469

And this is the best of the best of 4wd buggies.... but they are mostly kits. http://rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=145141

I know nothing about nitro. sry

Best RTR Nitro buggy would be the Losi 8ight RTR - http://www.teamlosi.com/Products/Def...rodID=LOSB0081

Cheers

+1 for the losi 8 rtr

There are other very good rtr' out there but right now with the 8 including the spektrum radio I believe it's a great deal.

The sportwerks Turmoil is another worth considering as a rtr

The Losi handles great, but they are recalling them due to them eating servos!! The linkage is causing some problem with the servos and it's going through them like water I guess. I'm sure Losi will get the problem fixed, but it is an issue right now....

In my opinion....the Hyper 8 buggy is the best bang for the buck...durable, fast, and about 2/3rds the price of the others...Just my opinion though....

Where did you hear of a recall? All I have heard of is that they are doing a running change (shorter ball link for throttle arm) for the kits. Most of the people that have them have already corrected the problem. Every car has its little faults that have to be corrected.

Just for the record...I wasn't trying to "bash" on Losi....their reputation speaks for itself. I just know that the servo thing is something they are trying to take care of...

What we have heard of officially is that they are doing a running change.

Cool...thanks for the update, and I apologize for the "bad info"!!!! One thing about Losi, they ALWAYS pretty much attack any problem that comes up. Kudos to them for that!

So far from what I have seen on the track is that the Losi is a viable contender for "best" buggy along with Mugen and Kyosho. Those three seem to be what the top racers in my area are using. (One is using a CEN but he is sponsored and gets his for free.) I use a Kyosho MP777SP2 myself.

The bashers and occasional racers are using the Jammin, Hyper and Sportzworks.

Can't go wrong with the Jammin RTR or 8ight RTR.

Go with whatever local support you have.
