I suppose the Stampede tires will work until you get new ones, just make sure your diff and slipper don't overheat. The taller tires will put more stress on the drivetrain.[/QUOTE]

Would 2 or three tanks of casual driving be bad for the diff with those tires?

Not necessarily, but one good stab of the throttle on a high-traction surface with those tires could roast the tranny.

It's not a big deal, just make sure everything is adjusted correctly. It'll be fine.

jbmccoy - That's one way to fix it, haha.

Those stampede tires are like plastic compared to the losi tires !!!! It does fine
except for that!!! I probably could pull off a few backflips with them on!!
They baloon like crazy!!!!

If Im sitting at Idle and it loads up quick does that mean I need to lean the HSN some?

Mine struggles to break 100C (im running 16 nitro, 10 syn oil and 2 castor). So yours idles fine then drops down to a slow idle?, that is usually a indicator that you need to lean off the bottom and remembering that the idle stop screw will need adjustment too after you touch the bottom end.

Well you should be fine with that stuff, im not up to date on what mixtures they run but being race fuel im guessing it has only small % of castor.

I mean when I find it to be hot its cause I get carried away with the throttle and just blast through fields!!! So that would make any motor hot unless it has 2 gears or more right?

I just did the C to F conversion on 260F and that should be fine, i used to tune by how hot they get but now if it sounds nice and im getting the nice blue trail of smoke i leave it and dont worry about the temp. But yeh 260F is by no means anything to worry about.
