Default ninja engine help...

hey guys,



whenever i start the engine.It will idle for 25 seconds then boggs out and dies.Also,its spitting out alot of fuel.maybe its too rich?Its a ninja bo1.



what are the factory needle settings?thanks!

Yeah like maybe.

Factory settings will always be very rich.

i bought this engine used,so I dont kno what needles he had it at..I'll see..also,what temp should I run it at?

Rule of thumb. HSN 3 turns out. LSN flush in socket.

Don't even think about tuning to a temp if you want it to run well. Temp will depend on too many things so tune it first for performance and then see what the temp is. Usually a big block is good between 220 and 260 degrees F.

ok so i turn the HSN all the way in,than 3 turns out?and have the LSN flush with the socket.thanks!

ooh and also,is my idle too high if the wheels are off the ground and turning?I thought it was,but when I lowered the idle speed,it cut off

Yeah, 3 turns out may be rich but you're safer being rich than lean.

Sounds like you solved your idle problem.
