Default Is it possible for lipo in BJ4 WE? How?

just wondering guys which type of split pack would , or could you use in this car. I wanna set up a brushless system in one , but i really want to run the lipo's. Any of you experiment with this set up yet?

Thanks guys.

OK cool. I figured those might work. I have two of the novak SS 5800 set ups i was going to try and hook up into this buggy. I ordered a "novak smart stop" so i could have that extra safety of not having my batteries getting over dis-charged and a little fan for the heat sink.

I know the SS 5800 set up is supposed to be like running a 12-14 turn brushed motor , what other brushless motor/esc combo would you guys recomend for better low end grunt/better tourqe?

I'm just curious if my SS 5800 would be that competitive against some of these new brushed motor/esc combo's.

Thanks for the help guys!!

The newer motors have a lot of power, but you still have to control it

This is true of course. But still , with the SS 5800 , seems to run ok , but i was just looking for something with a little more on the bottom. I could handle losing some of the top end a little , if i could gain a little torque on the bottom.

any ideas??

Use a smaller pinion, and let it spin up quicker. These brushless motors have a ton of torque at the bottom end, gear to get the best results.
