T MAXX is an original...... Yes it is good as well. Slightly differant suspension set up and not made to be raced later on (in my opinion.) Havent heard of it anyway , not to much but is a bashing pro. Im just a Traxxas fan so any thing u ask me about Traxxas . .. . .Ill answer with kind words... The revo can be made to muggy conversion =Monster truggy = Monster truck buggy! Very nice sleek look as well BAD TO THE BONE!

ok so your definetly leading into traxxas trucks. good choice. ive run the mfor years and love them. jato 3.3 isnt the way to go. way to muc hpower for 2wd. as of a T-maxx to a revo, if your going to be racing eventually, the revo is what you will want to be most competitive. the t-maxx will be very competitive, but the revo's suspension decine is dialed in. the T-maxx is an amazing truck too though. extreemly durable, reliable, fast. but if your going for a t-maxx 3.3, just go up to a revo2.5. they are basically the same speed(2mph difference at the most), and the revo is just an all around amazing jump. ive done a wallride with mine, got over 15 feet straight up, and flatgrounded without a problem. its the smoothest truck around in my opinion. you havent heard anythign about the warhead, because no one really runs them for racing. they are mroe of a drive a little bit the nput it up i think. they have problems with the engine too. they are very nice trucks, but need engine work regularly i believe. thats what ive been told atleast. hey you cant go wrong with a revo though. so much tunability that you can make it drive however you want.

Honestly, if your a beginner I would maybe think about what I'm getting into this hobby for. Racing/Bashing maybe a little of both. Things ot be aware of, price and availability of parts since your new I can guarantee that there will be some broken pieces. Also maybe consider less of a monster. When I first got into the hobby I was looking for the fastest, meanest machine out there and I found out the hard way with a T-Maxx.

I would recommend something like a Team Losi XXX-NT or a Team Associated RC10GT. Parts are everywhere for them and they are plenty fast enough. I've been in the sport 9 years (1 year gas) and I have a XXX-NT and I can say that it is faster than what I really need. I find my self spinning out way to much. I end up having to pedal it alot.

The first rc car i had in the hobby was a losi xxx nt ( not for the beginner) then i switch to Revo. i have a total of 25 rc cars and trucks now. Out of all of them the revo has bene the toughest believe it or not i have my first one still and i never broke anything i bash it i had raced it, i did blow a few engines but i never broke it. i now have 3 revos. I cant say enough about the revo it has treated me well and worth the money. my 2 race revos i broke a-arms but that was it. BUy a revo 3.3 is really fast.

2wd nitro i found didnt work out for a good basher i always spent more time repaiting them more than driving.. I race 2 wd nitro and i spend more time racing than repairing. wierd i know. lol

Good luck and enjoy this hobby it is alot fun and most of peaple in it are also alot of fun.

just to get the feel and learn how to tune the motor with accuracy then with the lifetime engine replacement plan upgrade the engine later on down the road. for half the price of the original cost of the 3.3
