lrp speed controler

hey fellas

would it be allright if i put a 13 double in my car if the speed controller sais that you cant go past a 13 turn.

it would be pushing it a bit hard.

the 13 turn limit is a guide, the limiting factor is the amount of amps it can deal with, so if you run a 13 turn that is geared quite low and run on plain tarmac you might be OK, but if you over gear it and run through long grass then you will be pulling more amps and really pushing your luck.

its 'safer' to stay higher than the turn limit (higher as in more turns)

If your racing I would say no, especially is you run on a high grip track. If your bashing on low drag surfaces then I wouldn't hesitate to do it at all. Be careful with your gearing! Start conservatively.

The advice that has been posted is good.
What I would recommend is NOT running it for more than 5 mins. without a break. Also check the temperatures of the motor, ESC and batteries periodically.
