Default Why are electric Stadium Truck only popular in the USA

Just wondering why are electric Stadium Truck only popular in the USA and not other parts of the world. I've noticed that 2WD and 4WD buggy are popular in Europe and other parts of the world but the electric stadium truck has never caight on.

2wd and 4wd buggy are faster and more nimble on tracks which don't have as many large jumps, they are also lower to the ground which works better on European high grip grass tracks.

Trucks are heavier and accelerate slower, so they are easier to drive. They also have big tires that help them run over pipes instead of getting stuck so you don't have to get off the driver stand as often. <--- thats just what Americans love....easy and lazy.

^^ 100% correct. Stadium trucks are best for rough tracks like the ones found in America. They are also easier to drive fast on American tracks. In America 2WD Stadium Trucks are oftentimes the most common electric racing class, followed by 4WD buggies.

2wd EP Stadium Trucks are going just fine down here in Australia. Plenty of clubs run them here in Sydney. Stock and modified classes are contested at club, regional, state and national levels.

On a personal note, I race lots of EP stuff, on road, 2wd and 4wd off road. If I could keep only one car and had to choose I would keep my Novak 5.5 powered T4. It is the only one which is fun for racing but also for just mucking about as well, either in the street, the local skate park or flying around the baseball diamond locally. All the others are real specific cars, the T4 is fun for lots of things.

There's just something about the way I sometimes run it on the street and forget about the extra traction until it loops over backwards .....

Trucks are higher, use larger tires, and have wider and longer stances with more travel. It's no wonder why they're more fun for the racer/basher. Overall, they're just more versitile.

Agreed! Currently the biggest class at our club's EP offroad meets.

With the release of the new GT2 gas truck is back into an upswing, I know of at least 6 or 7 new gas truck racers, or returning users for the next season, in the northwest USA, and that is just whom I know about. No doubt about it though, 2wd electric trucks are really fun, fast enough, and durable enough to do a lot of stuff.

The U.S. (and Australia, perhaps?) is really the only country that many passenger vehicles are pickup trucks. The 1/10 scale (and now 1/8th scale) truck is modeled after the off-road racing trucks that, as far as I know, are really only raced in the U.S., and originated from stock passenger pickup trucks

i dunno about the rest of the world apart from usa but here in the trucks r at there p[eak.from when i started in late 2004 till now there have been around 30 truck drivers(not all race at every event thouygh).

i know at the last Inter club we had i was running a stock truck and doing faster lap times than the buggys(2wd).if u klnow how to drive one,u wont break parts and u wil enjoy running them.

in perth atm though the rc racers have been scarce.id assume that would be the explanation for the little lack of drivers.

i can tell u thou8gh that they r definatley not only popular in the usa.
