to point out hpi's "stadium trucks" where 4wd, and that class itself never picked up, if they came out with a 2wd electric stadium, i think it would sell great, i know i would be almost tempted to trade my t4 for one...lol

They got the combo package at T.H. for $261.00 Im just wondering as far as durability . Which would be better the nitro rustler or the Firestorm. That firestorm looks sweet but Im not sure. Qualitys always been good with Traxxas. But HPI Im unfamiliar with . Which one has more torque and speed? HPI s handling abilitys look radical Will the .18 hold its own to the TRX 2.5?

if im not mistaken isn't the traxxas 2.5r a .15 engine? so i would think with HPI's quality of engines i would think the hpi would be faster, and probally more durable.

Anyone have this truck yet? I might snag one myself for playing around with and maybe an occasional race. I'm looking at the RC10GT2 also, while I know the GT is more race, I do like the Firestorms threaded shock bodies and Hpi engines are bettter than the GT's. Any comments welcome.

Ya tough call, I'd look at traxxas too, but since I had one in the past its definately not a race rig with the EZ start. The Firestorm is one heck of a truck for the price, but for a few $$ more a GT2 RTR can be bought. Like I said though, the GT's engine from what I understand is not very good.

Ya slippage is a major factor with the GT2 as well . Im just gonna pick up the rustler.. Great basher thats my bag anyways.... For what Ill be doing others built for racing would be to fragile. Traxxas Has a great name in the buisness .. not to say AE and Hpi do not but who can f^%$ with electric start and such strong reputation for under $300.oo RTR

That 2.5 from Traxxas I hear is a fine engine and ok to tune and maintain.
What do you think of cen racing?

http://www.cenracing.com/cars/nx/premier4.html

Only thing bad Ive heard of this one is weak body mounts.

who told you the 2.5 is a good engine? if you get a good one then sure its nice but if you dont then you will have endless tuning and overheating issues.

the rustler is a simple, fun truck. good price so it all works out i guess. id like to try the Firestorm, just no $$$. and I already ahve too many cars

Traxxas is very good. There stuff is built like tanks, that being said GT's and XXX-Nt's have every ounce of weight accounted for making them more race worthy than bash. They will break well before a traxxas part of the same type of abuse. I use to race alot and was one of those losi and associated only fans, but since I've stopped and actually enjoyed playing with these things off the track, I wouldnt think about a losi and associated for that, there are better trucks to jump ramps and do cartwheels down the street with . Having owned 2 savages in the past, If the firestorm is anything like those in durability, its going to be fun! I have one ordered now, and will give it a good bash test, comming soon!

Exclamation Specs?

Does anyone know the top speed of the Firestorm? I have a S-Maxx and was thinking of crossing over? Is it a good idea?
