Default no vspec carby inserts

my vspec doesnt have any carby inserts , will tis affect my neede settings, or affect aything that is going to affect the engine?

You should have a blue and red insert.

You could run it without an insert but it will be very hard to tune and suck up a lot of fuel. The insert speeds up the air as it flows through (venturi effect) thereby enhancing the atomization of the fuel.

thanks.

carb restrictors (inserts) are tuning tools used to de-tune a given motor. they restrict the air-flow into the carb intake. the smaller the restrictor, the greater the air-flow restriction. they will help to calm down a motor. running without one will not hurt a thing. however, using one (usually the blue one in a v-spec) might help make your buggy more drivable.

cheers for the replies. i had been having trouble tuning it. ive found that i have to have the needles richer than even the breakin settings, now it runs great tho
