I do not see many people using a 5.5 in offroad. Jason R. from Jconcepts ran at our track and use a 2* motor in a buggy. And it was more than he seemed to need but he is so good there was no issue. I have only been on 1 track where I could open up a 6.5. It had very long straights and it was only after they had groomed it. One the second weekend of racing it was too rutted for a 6.5. Personally a 7.5 or 2* is my motor of choice. Every blue moon I need the 6.5 and sometimes I need a 5800 or 1* if the track is real small.
