I agree with Aaron try the Losi IMFAR pins in red and go from there. If you need a more aggressive tread then go to steppins or studs. If need less then go with PL holeshots probably M3 compound. I would stay away from taperpins unless there is a clean bluegroove on the track.

Wear depends on lots of things. Is the truck sliding all over and spinning the tires everywhere? If so, any compound or tread pattern tires will wear fast.

Generally softer tires wear faster than hard ones. Some surfaces are just abrasive and every compound wears quickly.

But if you drive somewhat restrained and don't have a "driftin' yo" driving style, the tires will last.
