Default Servo for electric buggy ???

To start i have searched all 6 pages of threads in this forum. Very hard to narrow down what im looking for w/ so much info (which im sure will be great once i get up and running).

I'm new to off-road and am wondering what qualities should i look for in a steering servo (servo recomendations would work also as i could just look at the specs)? It could be digital or analog, price not too important, just not a bluebird. As for the kit it will be either a Yoke mr4 bx, or might wait for the TRF 501-X.

Thanks in advance for any help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Can't wait to start playing in the dirt!

You should prolly look for something over 100 Oz. of torque, and pretty fast. But don't go nutz, bigger badder servos have a higher amp draw, and in electric, you want all the power you can get for the motor...

One good servo for the money is the Hitec 5625MG. If you desire a coreless servo then the Hitec 5925MG would be an excellent choice.

Yep.

KO 2343 very fast very nice, but don't use with an LRP Quantum Competition 2. The QC2 doesn't put out enough volts, and this one NEEDs all the volts or it will "glitch". A big cap in the RX will usually fix it. This is the older model, and I've been told by KO that newer models have a different amplifier and don't suffer this issue.

KO 2364 in truck. Killer torque, very nice servo, I just snapped a Losi servo horn on this, and it didn't seem to hurt the servo at all. Doesn't have the issue with the QC2.
