Default Size difference in IB 4200 vs IB 3800 cells

I am about to replace my tired IB 3800 packs with IB 4200WC packs and am wondering what the size difference in the to cells are. Will it cause me to have to mod my X-5 battery slots to fit?

Just got through talking with Promatch and they said the new 4200WC cells are 1mm bigger than the 3800 cells.

i dunno what it's worth, but i run 4200's in my xxx-t mf2 and they fit fine, tho i had to run trinity gold bars and flatten each bar by sandwiching them in wood and using a hammer on one piece of wood. worked perfectly. i know you have the truck so i dunno if that info helps with saddle fitment in your buggy.

here is a link that has the measurements of the 4200. i could measure myself but hey ; )

Gatermaxx,
That was in diameter.

Builthatch,

Thanks, Promatch's battery bars are a little lower profile and should not need any modification. Did you get your MF2 handling the way you wanted.

I have a bit of trouble with 4200's in my Matt Francis, but if you trim down the foam spacers and keep the wires tucked in there good and neat it'll work fine for ya... It's rushing out for the mains with the battery sitting on the bench next to the truck that always make me hurry and screw it all up!

I know my 4200's wouldn't fit in place of 3600's in my T4. I had to disassemble the packs and rebuild them with smaller bars to get them to fit and it was still tight.
