ep batterys? never seen them, have any info?

If I didnt get any replys on this, I most likely would have gotten the p2k2. that motor was the last hot stocker that was released before I got out of the game. I think i might have a couple I can use as practice motors too

Sorry I need to clear up some misconceptions here.

IB and EP are not the same company. Also EPIC DOES NOT MAKE BATTERIES The gets their batteries from the same China factories that everyone else does but they buy in large enough orders to get there own shrink but their EPIC cells are not necessarily the same as the IB cells. They do sell the IB shrink cells which are purchased through a local importer.

IB cells are imported through SMC. All IB cells sold in the US came through SMC and then are then matched by the other companies.

EP is a new company on the block. They are imported through Fusion and they get help with west coast distribution by Slingshot Batteries.

Also the IB and the EP cells are NOT the same cells. I guarentee that. They are comeing from two different factories in China. The EP cells are the new guys on the block. They are making a 4200mah cell that has voltage and internal resistance like th IB WC cells but they have been much more durable in our testing and do not burp, vent or blow up like the WC cells have been. Give an EP pack a try when you can and I am sure you will be happy with this new cell. If you local matcher does not offer EP cells, ask them about them. Fusion and Slingshot can both get test sample cells out to local matchers so they can see the difference. Orion is already matching in Europe and Promatch should have them avaiable anytime now. Fusion has been selling them for a while and Slingshot is getting a fresh batch matched now as I write this.

Just to make sure you know this EPIC/trinity does not control this stuff anymore. IB and EP are not EPIC products.

The vast majority seem to be running Trinity CO27s. The is because it has the bottom end punch of the P2k2 and the top end of the Monster stock all in one package. I would pickup one of the tuned versions like Team Brood, Axiom, and Banzi. That and some good higher voltage 4200 matched battery packs should set you up well for racing stock class.

Don't forget Team Scream. They offer top of the line stuff. I love their products, and prefer them over any other company.

not to dwell on this too much, but i got 2 packs worth of matched epic 4200's from teamfullthrottle when i recently got back into 1/10. In the small warning print where it says blah blah blah epic motorsports USA, it says EP4200IB. so, are these IB?

The 4200 are IB. The 3800 they have sold in the past I am not sure where they came from.

Orion Revolution 12tdouble, 4200IB World Edition matched, Novak GTX all in the XXXT MF2 for mod racing and
CO27, 3800SMC Matched, LRP IPC V6 digital all in the XXT-cr Graphite Plus for stock racing. both setups seem to work well together.
