Default OUTERWEARS PRODUCTS-prefilters/shockwears!!

I come from a ATV Motocross background(11years) and a company that I have worked with and been sponsored by since the late 90's, OUTERWEARS(out of Michigan) has decided to cross over into the R/C industry. I've been working with them on fit and design of 1/8th scale and 1/10th scale Prefilters and Shockwears. I've already been running the stuff at races and it works great!! Very durable and dependable, and awesome looking on your buggy/truggy or 1/10 scale.
OUTERWEARS is looking at setting up more DEALERS and hobby shops, as demand for their products spreads accross the country. If you run a shop or know a shop that may be interested in becoming a dealer, have them email or PM me a mailing address. As a Rep for Outerwears, I have packets I can mail out that include sample sheets of the various colors and designs, and contact info to get setup with OUTERWEARS as a dealer.
Below are pics of my Mugen with the OUTERWEARS Prefilter and Shockwears on it!! Thanks-Ryan Barnes [email protected]

I have personally seen the pre-filters and shock covers. I can wait to get my hands on them.

I too come from a motocross background (quads, 250r) until I got hurt (like most people). Awesome idea and I am glad to hear they (outwears) are finally tapping this market!!

Not knowing much about MX, are those "prefilters" weatherproof? If so to what extent, does it make a full wet weather air filter?

LOL! It was the end of the night after a long days racing and I was TIRED! But I could have smiled huh?

sosidge- Yes the Prefilters are water resistant, I ran my 2nd qualifier in the rain this past saturday, and my foam was still spotless under the Outerwears Prefilter.

Here is a pic of a fellow racers buggy after 2 laps of practice saturday, just to give you an idea of the conditions we were running in.

If you guys have a hobby shop in your area that you would like to see become an OUTERWEARS DEALER, you can direct them to this thread for pics or have them email or PM me and I will be sure that the Dealer Info is sent their way. It must be a shop and I will need complete mailing address, website(if they have one) and a contact person at that shop. Thanks-Ryan

At the top in the original post I stated that they're making products for both 1/8 and 1/10 vehicles, and yes that includes the electric kits as well. The 1/10 nitro/electric covers are the same, you just trim to length for the 1/10 buggy. Thanks-Ryan

Dumb question Ryan. I had a pair of thse on my 250R quad. They had velcro so you could take them off and on without a bunch of hassle. I have had the bad horsie shock covers for my T4 and I didnt like them.

Do these shock outwears have velcro running up and down so you can put them on and off your rc vehicles without all the hassle??

d4man- The Outerwears Shockwears do not have the velcro strips in them. On the ATV's the velcro didn't effect the suspension because of the size of the shock and coil. But with these 1/8 and 1/10 springs being so small you don't want that velco binding up the suspension. These Shockwears are made of a very thin, flexable and durable material that slips over the spring. They work very well and hold up great, I've been running mine for 3 weekends and have yet to see signs of wear or a hole.

Does that Matrix have a Xray tank on it? I was having a hell of time trying to figure out what it was, until I saw the mostly mud covered sticker on the wing. The tank and body looks so close to my XB8, but the other stuff is different, but thats cuz its a CEN.

Yeah that's my buddy Jared's CEN Matrix, and he uses the XB8 tank on it.
