Will standard spur gears fit an Assoc T3 or Traxxas Rustler? Help!
 

Guy who's looking to buy some standard 48 pitch spur gears from me doesn't know whether they will fit his Associated T3 truck or his friend's Rustler. The spurs are standard 48 pitch (e.g. Robinson, Kimbrough, etc.) and fit pretty much anything under the sun that doesn't have some sort of proprietary mounting system.

I don't own either of these trucks and am looking for an answer from someone who owns one or just knows what fits from experience. Dont' want to sell this guy something that won't fit.

I posted a thread asking about this before I saw you had. You can check my thread ("I NEED Spur Gear help!!!!") for other possible replys, but this is the first one.

""Tamiya gears use the metric pitch. If you do plan to use their spur gears be sure to use their pinion gears as well. If you don't then you'll have a bunch of shredded plastic.

To those who may be able to help out, these are standard 48 pitch spur gears, NOT Tamiya spur gears. They are made by Precision, Du-Bro, Kimbrough, Duratrax, etc. Fit all pan cars, most sedan cars, older RC-10 cars without a slipper, etc. In other words, plain old SPUR GEARS.

The 48p spur gears from a TA04R fit perfectly on my T3. This has been a long road. Im glad its done.
