Get a used gt7 $45-$60 or a used gtx $75-$100, a checkpoint 12t $70 and at least a metal gear servo, hitec 645mg $35. I suggest a digital servo, cheap decent digital, futaba s9451 $80. For dusty surface and hardpacked underneat stay with the holeshot tires, if it is loose underneath try bowties. You will eventually want some shock springs, which you can also use on the bj4. If you are trying to stay on the cheaper side I suggest the gt7. It is a great speedo and I run one in my b4, never had a problem with it. Don't skimp on the motor though, checkpoints are awesome if you can get away with running a 19t then the money is $50, at the first comm cut replace the atlas brushes with the infinity brushes and replace the springs with the medium hard springs, gear up a tooth and don't touch it again for 20 runs (you will need to oil the bearings every run). Hope this helps.
