The teeth are supposed to be curved on both sides. A worn out pinion will have teeth that are flat on one side.

A new or good tooth looks kind of like this.... () Well, the top half of the parentheses (sp?) anyway.

Best I can do with the keyboard.

I won't run a Robinson pinion with less than 20 teeth anymore. They just wear out too quickly. Losi pinions last for forever. And they are cheaper. Go figure.
