Help with Clutch Shim

Got RB .21 WS7 with Ofna Clutch and the clutch bell will free spin easily when I don't have the end screw on but when I put the screw on it turns but doesn't spin. Is this ok?

Cheers

No, you need it to spin free while being screwed on tight....What's happening is the shaft is not extending all the way through the end of the clutch bell and/or it's bearing... you need to add shims to the screw itself, they are tiny shims that fit right down inside the bearing and you need to add enough just to get the head of the screw off the bearing...and you should have just a little bit of play then the bell will spin freely....

I hope this makes sence to you! ....I just rolled out of bed and am not sure if all that is worded correctly  !! Let us know if you get it fixed

Yeah, there are lots of tricks to this, but you need the bell to be vey "free" to spin.

If I don't use any shims it works perfect, you have to use shims right??

I now have it going with shims on but I can move the clutch bell slighty up and down. Is that bad?

Cheers
